We took the Ghostly Night Tour and it was an excellent experience— in fact, it was our favorite thing we did in Salem! Our tour guide, Vin, was very knowledgeable and a great storyteller. He was fun and engaging throughout the entire evening, and we felt like we learned a lot of cool history. Overall a very memorable experience— I would definitely recommend Black Cat Tours!

Our family took 2 tours with them. They were great about reminders of the tours, and managing the the process during the Salem Halloween rush. Both of our guides were passionate and energetic about their tours, we felt seen, welcomed, educated and entertained. Would highly recommend Black Cat Tours to everyone.

Awesome tour with Vin!! He was funny, knowledgeable, and great at keeping the group together and always able to hear him. We would definitely take this tour again with Vin, especially since there’s so much to learn and remember.

My husband and I went to Salem for our wedding anniversary. We booked a black cat tour because the reviews said it was so good. The reviews did not disappoint. We had Jack as our guide, who was a very fun intelligent guide. It was a well paced tour and an okay sized group; not too large. Any bigger would be difficult to hear even with microphone they used. Jack had a fun personality and interacted with the group well. The tour was about 90min and covered several ghost stories. Would recommend for anyone looking for a good tour at night.

The walking city and harbour tour should not be so late in the afternoon that all the wonderful shops along the side street are closed when boat tour is over. This side street was the highlight. Do not do a ghost tour and a city tour with same company or ask about picking a tour with a different guide - perspective and same places sound different even when focus is different. The staff and your guises know their stuff and the store is quite unique.

I took two tours with Black Cat Tours. A walking history tour during the day and a ghost tour at night. They were both wonderful, informative and fun. Both guides did a great job and there was only a little bit of repeat information from the two tours so it was absolutely worth taking both! Also, the Black Cat Curiosity shop where the tours met is the most beautiful shop on all of Essex Street.

Our tour guide was so knowledgeable on the history of Salem!! He has a very animated personality, which made the duration of the tour so interesting…it was very hard to lose focus. I’m not sure of the tour guide’s name, but I feel confident any of the guides from Black Cat Tours would do a fine job.

100% recommend. We did the "Historic Day Tour" and would suggest this tour for anyone who wants an overview of all things Salem, which includes cool facts about various buildings and events throughout Salem's history, pirate history, and of course the witch trials. We took this tour in mid-August on a Thursday with only 2 others (almost a private tour). David was our tour guide and did a fantastic job at story telling, debunking myths, and stating what was facts and aspects of Salem's history that is still unknown. After taking the tour I feel like I have enough knowledge about interesting facts on various buildings and events to share with friends and family while walking through the downtown district.Honestly, I couldn't call a trip to Salem complete without taking a tour with Black Cat Tours - at least once.🐈‍⬛ When you go to Salem book your tour with Black Cat Tours!

Very good at providing history, throw a couple "ghost stories" in and that's what we got. The only thing adult was the extra added wordage that was included to disgust rather than describe.

We just finished up our 2pm tour with Daniel, he did a great job! We really enjoyed all of his stories and he was super knowledgeable about the history of Salem. He was able to answer any questions we had. Also he kept us in the shade (as per my request) as best he could which is much appreciated on this hot day!

This was a great tour! It was nice to have an overview of the major sites and as a bonus it helped orient us to the area for the rest of our stay. Our guide was knowledgeable and fun—I definitely recommend!

What a fun tour! The shop we started out in is GORGEOUS and very interesting (highly recommend paying them a longer visit outside of your tour time as there’s lots of cool stuff to see in there) and the tour was a lot of fun. Our guide was very entertaining and knowledgeable and I enjoyed every minute of it. I will definitely be coming back with friends.

My family and I did a tour a couple of weeks ago and LOVED it. Daniel was interesting, engaging and very well informed about the area we toured. We asked him a number of questions about the sites–some of which were a bit off-topic from the tour itself–and were surprised at how easily and authoritatively he was able to talk about the history of each place, every time. It’s clear that he has a great depth of knowledge about the area. No wonder they’ve been voted one of the top 10 ghost tours in the country. Highly recommended!

Took my best friend to Salem for her 50th and of course we had to do a haunted walking tour!Black Cat is the best! I've done this tour before (with family) and couldn't pass up the opportunity to do it again!
